Ello boys n girls.

Going to be getting hold of an rs125 sometime next week. just wondering if theres any walk-throughs or anything of bebuilding the engine?

Or would it be a pretty easy job to do? Being a fully qualified car mechanic now, my bike mind has gone out the window Laughing

Cheers

Hi

Full rebuild or just the top end? Top end is a doddle and is a gentle afternoons work.

Bottom end means dropping the engine and splitting the cases, and a few special tools. Not that easy, and reassembly means pulling the crank into the cases (not pushing the cases onto the crank) to avoid putting a preload on the main bearings (which would likely kill them in about 1000 miles).

All the best

Keith

Hi

No special tools required and shouldn't take you long. Hardest part is getting the springs on and off the exhaust (they seem to harden with age, far easier with new springs).

All the best
