A good mate of mines cub got nabbed about 3 weeks ago. It was one of the six that we did the road trip on in the summer, unfortunately the nicest of the lot. Crying or Very sad

Was stolen from outside his house and ragged round a field before being torched.

It wasn't in a good way when we went to pick it up. The van still stinks of burnt out rubber.

Anyway, got it back to my house and power washed it off and ripped it apart.

The wiring loom, headlight, front plastics, battery, both tyres, battery, coil, speedo, headlight, brake and throttle cables, carb, front of the seat and other niggly bits were all buggered and had to be replaced. The legshields were (well, some still is) melted all over the engine.

One of the main pain in the arse things to do was rewiring the stator plate, but we did it okay. Just re soldered and staggered the joins.

Starting to take shape now, wish s/h faded plastics.

And as it stands now, a fair amount of work gone into it, all because of some thieving scumbag pikeys.

With the new loom, some fresh oil and a secondhand carb and fuel line, it went second kick. Thumbs Up

HAHA it will take more than some pikey scum bags to kill a C90!

I'm glad you rescued/restored it, it would have been a shame to let it die.

Bastards!

They took my CG but dropped/rested it against a wall half way down the street as they couldn't break the steering lock, no doubt would have ended up like this bike if they could.

Good job Garth! Thumbs Up

The C90 road trip thread was one of the first ones that I read on here before I joined, that looked hella fun.

Glad to hear it has been revived!
