i finally got my Honda CG back from London to where i live Smile (that`s the good part).
it was/is a runner and goes well for a little 10bhp of 125 Smile

Now the problem: is that if it`s left for a couple of days, it`s a real swine to start Evil or Very Mad
if i start it every day, then theres no problem?
i have a good spark and a brand new battery.
i have checked that the tank can breathe.
i know that the plug is sparking.
carb overflow is working.
float bowl and float heights are set right.
fuel tap is working.

any ideas out there folks?

Are you using the choke?

will never give up his CG. I look at my fuel gauge more as a progress bar than a fuel gauge.
G: With my GSXR I do often effectively use it as a scooter with a clutch in town.
ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?

Yes Alex .

i have found part of the problem Smile the reserve part of the fuel tap does not work Evil or Very Mad (blocked)..... once i had put some more fuel in the tank and used the normal running part of the tap things were fine Rolling Eyes .
anyway that`s another little job that will need to be done ASAP Smile

Sorry to suggest the obvious but sometimes it needs to be suggested and no one else seemed to have any ideas Smile
