Hey.
So, i swapped the servo over for the NSR and it runs a treat, using a lot less fuel and far more powerfull in the lower RPM (origionally the valve on the exhaust outlet was secured open and cable on the servo cut).

Sooo, the bike was doing fabulously last night, really enjoying the bike now and about half way through the ride home last night (about 50 miles) at around 10pm, nice and dark and BAM, my lights go, then their back and then they fade to nothing... RPM and speedo drop to nothing as well but the bike keeps going...

The thing is as dead as a doornail but luckily i'm under street lights...

I turn to low beam and it seems to recover almost as if the battery is having trouble coping but whenever i turned the lights off the speedo and rpm dials dropped to 0...

After a while the lights started working again and i made it back using the main beam occasionally when on dark roads but when i got home, and this is the strange thing...

the lights were fine at idle but when the engine revved they went dim?!

Went out to the bike today, plugged in and tapped the starter, instantly, dead as a doornail again (happened lastnight when i got home)...

So started wiggling wires and it came back to life (but this didnt seem to happen when wiggling any perticular wire) and again, touch the starter button, dead...

Wiggled with every other wire for a while and nout... still dead, all wires look fine (that i can see), bettery terminals seem fine...

Dont have time to strip it down at the moment as exam season is upon me so it may be a few weeks before i have a good hack at it.

Any thoughts on this Atall would be fantastic as i'd love to find the issue without spending hours and hours.
I'm fully aware the wiring loom is choppy here and there though so hmmm Neutral

Am going to have to learn/look at the wiring diagram i think, learn about electrics on these to i think.

Best regards

I would be checking for shorting behind the clocks and in the switch gear, I would say your getting shorts to earth somewhere.

best chance could be that reg/rec has failed and wrecked the battery?

Don't go into the wiring complex just yet, check the basics first, could just be a bad connection?

After having another fiddle i think your probly right.

Am going to have to wait till my exams are over then off the fairings will come and i'll work my way around the wiring loom looking for anything dodgy. No multimeter so meh... Oh well.

No bikey for now (i somehow dont think its legal to ride without lights/indecatorys/speedo/anything else working lol).

Cheers
