Restricted FZS[Fazer]600S 2000 - Fuel proplems.

Hey guys, my fazer 600 seems to be wasting more fuel than it should be and wondering if this is what happens with restricted fazer's or do the jets need changing/re set, my mother has the same year and same bike as mine and her's is derestricted and she gets 180 miles to a full tank, well as mine restricted only gets 100 pushing 110 on a full tank. just wondering if any experinces off the same or its just what happens when restricted.

Restrictors can often make the bike run rich, which will affect the mileage. Bikes were not meant to be strangled, thats the problem.

Should check your spark plugs to see if it is running rich or not.

Could also be general poor service of the bike and the restrictors aren't helping.

Make sure oil and plugs are ok, and that valve clearance is good and carbs are balanced.
