for a start, its probably got a restriction washer nut thing in between the variator (most 50cc peds are restricted this way)
transmission case off
variator nut off (usually on left of casing, variator will need to be locked in place not to move)
remove small washer stopping the two halves of variator from coming together completely
re-assemble
sorted! at least, my 50cc yamaha jog r was that way.. ____________________ Yamaha RXS 100 > Honda CD 250 > Honda Hornet 600 > Honda CBR 600RR > Yamaha RXS 100 > Kawasaki ZX6R J2 > Yamaha FZ1 |

It's not a washer on a Peugeot, it's a plate which is behind the variator bolted onto the back of it with three 8mm bolts. Remove that and the variator is de-restricted.
The variator nut should be torqued up to 40Nm if you have a torque wrench (don't worry if you don't, just do it up tight) and some Loctite 243 should be used to stop the nut coming undone when ridden.
There is also a resonator pipe on the exhaust that needs cutting off and the hole welding up. The carb needs re-jetting but I have no idea what to.
