I don't know what I'm doin wrong but I can't seem to get the hang of em ! Watched the "how to" videos, read the huge amount of advice but still getting no progress.

Is there any one in the west midlands area that, after laughin at my feeble atempts can guide me in the right direction ?

I have heard before that if you have too much pride in your bike and are too scared to do damage to it, then you will always have doubts about going too far with the bike.

From personal experience I know I could attempt to get the front up more aggressively, but in the back of my mind I worry that I will damage the bike and therefore my wheelies are shit ((I say 'wheelies' but they are more like 'bunny-hops')).

So maybe that could be a problem for you - a psycological one; like me.

i found changing my knackered chain and sprockets helped.

have you tried being in first gear, pulling in the clutch, bringing up the revs and banging the clutch out?

thats really all it is.. the rest is practice.

I'm a cheap skate and don't want to damage my bike or have to replace my suspension, chain or sprockets any sooner than I might have to otherwise. As such I haven't tried any wheelies on my bike yet Sad

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?

Thanks for the help Luke, I got a R6 so the bikes capable it's just me !
Have you got to be quite high in the rev range to slip the clutch to lift the front up as the power is high up on the r6 ? Or is it a case of slip the clutch so the rev go high up in the revs ? If that makes sence !
