If somebody could help me sourcing a couple of parts I'd be greatly appreciated. Basically I need a lower left hand fairing for a '03 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H and I believe it's a crank cover (see attached. It might not be though, I'm not very technical) .

I've scoured eBay and if possible I'd like a good condition second hand panel in the correct colour with decals etc already on. BTW the bike in the attached pic is the same colour and model as mine.

All help appreciated.

There is nothing attached but the RHS engine cover is probably a clutch cover.

Try your dealer for the casing I shocked when the alternator casing for my Triumph was £36 from a dealers, I expected treble that price, they will rape you for the fairing mind.

I swear the original post said right, did you alter it? Wink

Anyway that would be the alternator casing I believe, from Triumph it cost me £36 for the casing and £11 for the gasket.

Fairing:- from a dealer probably £200+ you may get luck on ebay, otherwise if it is not to badly damaged get it repaired and resprayed.

The graphic will be about £30 I believe, not sure about the spray job but as it is all one colour maybe £100 with abit of plastic welding too.

*BUMP*

Just popped an email off to Skidmarx, I ordered a full front fairing set for the VFR when I smashed that and it was pretty good quality so I figured it's worth a try plus their prices aren't too bad.

NRC engine covers (Niagara Racing Company) - I believe they're made from thicker castings than stock so they'd protrude more than OEM.

Fairingwise, have you tried Motocc.co.uk

https://www.motocc.co.uk/acatalog/Kawasaki_ZX-6R_2003_-_2004.html

here's the link for your bike. I believe they come well rated by PB. For the price of a skidmark fairing + painting, you could be better off paying 200 more and having spares?

Thanks mate, searching for NRC engine covers has also lead me to a couple of parts sites that look interesting. Double Thumbs Up

Out of curiosity, can the NRC covers be sprayed? Just they look a bit w*nk if they can't.

You should be able to spray anything.

Cover here also https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kawasaki-ZX636-B1H-B2H-Chrome-Generator-Casing-NEW-/190348907600?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2c51add450

I've a clutch cover and gasket in the garage if you drop it on the other side in future ! Wink

Have joined MCN Ninjas. Thumbs Up

Chris, what's wrong with a chrome engine cover? I think it looks canny but it wouldn't go with the other covers on mine.

It's American/chavy and would spoil one of the best looking Japanese sports bikes ever. If you put that on your bike I would take it as a personal insult Laughing
