Is it possible to use your PC cards on laptops with the right card as to accept a VGA connection?

So you want to put a PC graphics card into a laptop?
Or you want to use the laptop screen for your PC?

Repeat the question as it doesn't make sense, you can't hijack a desktop PC's graphics card to temporarily use on a laptop. You can run a laptop through a desktop monitor, obviously. You can't run a desktop through a laptop monitor as the VGA connector on the laptop is an output not an input.

Sorry I should have bee a bit more clear!

I am extending my laptop to another screen using the current default vga slot at the back of the laptop = works great!

I want to connect a second monitor to this laptop so including the laptop there will be 3 screens.

Now I could buy a USB to VGA adapter [https://www.ebuyer.com/product/184665] and connect the second monitor that way.

But I was wondering

The PC card which is never used, do they design PC cards which has a VGA input so in turn it means I could connect a extra monitor to a laptop this way?

You need an external USB video card to hook up 3 monitors like that.
The reason being that you can only send 1 monitors worth of data down 1 cable, so sending the cable to your PC won't then allow you to plug 2 monitors into it and get 2 pictures out.

They do some docking stations that have 2 monitor outputs that some people claim can do it. Others however say that they can't so its a gamble.
