my TGB R50X mopoed cuts the power at aprox 8500rpm. I have heard that there is a brown wire I need to cut but there is also some reports of this making it so the bike wont start. there is also some reports that the CDI needs replacing with a un-restricted one, but i cant find a CDI for the R50X. any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

You want to remove the rev limiter? Good way to blow up your engine that. Confused

^^+1^^

every moed is different most if not all mopeds have rev limiters in the CDI some of wich you can "remove" by cutting the right wire
others have the limiters connected in with other parts of the cdi so cutting the wire will stop it from starting the best option is buying an unrestricted cdi (and yes theres loads avail for all kinds of bikes)

however be prepeard to rebuild your topend quite soon after especialy if you rag it

fact of life: rev-limiters are there for a reason
