Okay, early days yet but I want to start 'prepping' the CG125 for next winter, and the main issue last winter was my hands.

I've read on other threads that the wrap rounds can absorb water.

And the other issue is ofcourse little scrotes at college flicking the switch.

How far from the bars can the switch be located? Would it be possible to wire them out of sight?

Thanks for your time,

Tim.

These are the ones that I've had fitted to my trail bike and I've been really pleased with them. Admittedly the gloves I wear are thin, so I do get to appreciate the warmth easily - I seem to remember some folk saying that the thicker winter gloves mean they don't feel the heat. I will get another set for my road bike they are that good!

They were easy to fit and were soldered onto the headlight wires, so that they come on only when the ignition is on. If you did that you wouldn't have to worry about anyone switching them on at college or more significantly accidentally leaving them on. I used the 'toggle' switch and it was mounted behind the front left fairing.

I've found they warm up really quickly and there are 2 settings, high and low, so you can whack it on high and then lower it in the event of getting too warm (that's never happenned to me Embarassed )!!

I've just had heated grips fitted, they are great...I really wish I'd fitted them years and years ago.

This.

I had heated grips and handlebar muffs with thin but armoured gloves throughout 7 years and 3 bikes as a courier. Don't cut any of the wiring down, in case you want to transfer them to another bike - just tuck / cable tie the spare wiring out the way.

I've had both the wrap arrouds suck compared to the proper grips, they make the bars really fat.
