i'm totally clueless about this, can anyone give me a hand? do i need to have it checked over? am i meant to carry a certificate?

No need to carry a certificate, as it aint worth the paper it is written on.

If you want to check it is restricted then take it for a blast and report bact or get it dyno testes.

What bike is it?

If restricted it will do about 100 mph, if not restricted should do about 120 mph Thumbs Up

mine's isn't, they aint powerful enough to draw attention to you.

Dyno printout will be as good, if not better than a certificate, most places can put the reg number on it and sign it etc.
