Bit further south from here. They're an odd lot down there at the best of times. The guy was from Frizington, which is a grim place.

What's Geldofs excuse then? I think a certain amount of collateral damage would be acceptable as long as he turned the gun on himself at the end.

Very grim place!

Weve been in lockdown all day but we can go home now. Just spoke to my mate who left the campsite in eskdale at 11.00 this morning thank god!

As you can imagine the rumours are rife around here at the moment, were all waiting for the real story. Lot of people ringing home today trying to get in touch with loved ones.

Not been nice at all!

Steve & I were on our way to Millom today (he was working), we got turned back about 7 miles from Millom. Shortly after that it was announced that Derick Bird had been found dead.

Hope everyone from this forum who lives & works in that area is ok.

Explain the relevance between road accident deaths and those perpetrated by an individual choosing to end the lives of random locals please G?

Death count is now 12, plus bird and 25 injured.
