hey guys, im a bit stumped,
the river was tapping/knocking like nothing else,

the fly wheel was just off the bike as one of the allen screws that holds the starter sprag to the fly wheel had come loose and was eating it way into the bottom crank case, luckily this was caught in time..
the engine was in the shop, and the valve clearances were supposedly done,

any way, i put the fly wheel ect back on and started it, and sure enough tapping from top end, check the clearances and the shop had set them at 0.5mm !!! 10 times too loose (0.05mm is the proper clearance) any way i redid the clearances,
and she idles alot nicer with no tapping,
but if i twist the throttle, at about 3000rpm the tapping starts,

any clues??
