Well after a year of living in Dundee I've been levied with my second parking ticket

For those of you wondering about the first it was genuinely my fault. However the very intelligent parking warden obviously stuck in at school and wrote down my car reg with a "V" instead of a "Y" - so I simply never paid it - never heard a peep! Still have the ticket somewhere.

Anyhow;
My bike has been parked in the same spot for the past few months. Only on this absolute f*cker of a day, I go out and find a parking ticket wrapped round my handlebars. Now this pissed me off, mainly because I had spoken to a traffic warden previously and he was totally uninterested where my bike was parked as it was not "A controlled zone". You can see where my bike was parked Here

Chained to the lamp-post on the inside of the bend (rear wheel at the right of the lamp-post facing right).

There were also various other problems with the ticket; highlighted in the below mail that im sending tommorow:

Quote:
Dear Sir/Madam

I refer you to the ticket left on my motorcycle, Registration: T*****
Notice number:DD2******
I believe the ticket has been served in error; for several reasons

• The motorcycle is parked off the road itself
• The motorcycle has been parked there for several months without any previous ticketing
• The motorcycle has been parked there on later occasions without any further notices
• The motorcycle is not hindering access in any way, shape or form or causing a danger
• The motorcycle is not obscuring view of the junction from any direction
• Having approached one of your parking wardens earlier in the year with intention to ask him about parking it in this very spot I was assured it was “Not a controlled zone” and that I would not be ticketed.
• The ticket lists the location of the motorcycle as “Magdalen Yard Road” when in actual fact it was technically on Riverside approach
• The ticked lists the “Make” of the vehicle as “Honda Motorcycl” which is a clear mis-description as it is actually a “Honda Motorcycle”
I look forward to your reply.

Signed

Allan Aikman

I seem to think my case is pretty bulletproof; so what do you, the people, think?

if I'm looking at the correct corner those double yellows have a big chunk out of them too.

Was the ticket for parking on the pavement or for parking on double yellows?

The ticket reads

Quote:
Who had reasonable cause to beleive that the following parking contravention had occured: Parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours

I should also add that I live in the west end and its EXTREMELY busy during the day; It would be irresponsible for me to take up a parking space.
