I brought a battery about 4 months ago after the winter ate my old one, charged it up at about 2A for four hours as the instructions told me to and all was fine for about a month,

Bike started to struggle starting so I got a proper motorbike battery charger which charges at 1.5A and switches itself off when charged so there is not chance of it overheating but the battery still did not seem to have the power to start the bike.

In the end I gave up, got a new battery and all is fine now but I am a a little worried that something is up with the bike.

A) Is it possible for the bike to knacker a battery?

B) What are the good battery brands? 1st replacement was a Numax second is a Dynavolt.

C) who reckons I was just a numpty and somehow toasted the battery?

I'd be doing a voltage check with the bike running as it might be a weak generator or reg/rectifier ...
