All was well with the bike yesterday, nothing wrong at all, I cleaned and polished it all up today and then everything seemed to go wrong
Basically none of the lights apart from the headlight work, but even then it's no where near as bright as it was, changed the fuse, not that, looked at all the connections and there was nothing wrong with that.
I didn't soak the bike when I cleaned it so water couldn't get in any where.
Could the battery just suddenly die?
Or could there be a short circuit?
The horn doesn't work any more either and the wiring loom has only been recently done....any suggestions as I don't wanna fork out for the garage if I can do it myself.
for all decent suggestions ____________________ Previously owned: Kawasaki KH125, Suzuki GP125, Suzuki GX 125, Honda CB125 TDC '83, Honda ntv 600, Kawasaki ER5, Kawasaki ZZR600, Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille

On my GS125, if you unplug one, weird things happen, it will run with no lights, or just some of the things will work. |
Epic, I'll give that a go tomorrow
Thanks!
As I say it was working fine yesterday so it can't be much can it? ____________________ Previously owned: Kawasaki KH125, Suzuki GP125, Suzuki GX 125, Honda CB125 TDC '83, Honda ntv 600, Kawasaki ER5, Kawasaki ZZR600, Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille

Also might like to add the bike is 6v, but has a 12v tail light bulb? |

Okay, so I replaced the battery because that was screwed, and I have now got a rear parking light!! But there is still not a back main light and no brake light, and no indicators, but main light seems fine.
I'm going to buy a new rectifier for it because that may have blown, going to check the earth wire under the tank tomorrow, also the bulb is wrong so I have to try find the right one.
I checked all the wires behind the front light and that all seems to be fine, I just can't work out how some lights work and some don't ____________________ Previously owned: Kawasaki KH125, Suzuki GP125, Suzuki GX 125, Honda CB125 TDC '83, Honda ntv 600, Kawasaki ER5, Kawasaki ZZR600, Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille

Okay, so it's not the battery and it's not the rectifier, there aren't any loose connections and from what I can see there's no damaged wires, everything inside the headlight is fine, I'm really confused now.
Anyone think it could be anything in the generator? ____________________ Previously owned: Kawasaki KH125, Suzuki GP125, Suzuki GX 125, Honda CB125 TDC '83, Honda ntv 600, Kawasaki ER5, Kawasaki ZZR600, Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille

This might be a little patronising, but you've checked the bulbs right? Whats the output from the alternator like voltage wise? |
Bulbs are fine, the parking light works at the back, and it uses the same bulb as the break and main light ____________________ Previously owned: Kawasaki KH125, Suzuki GP125, Suzuki GX 125, Honda CB125 TDC '83, Honda ntv 600, Kawasaki ER5, Kawasaki ZZR600, Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille

I shall give that a go, when the parking lights are on the back lights up, but turn the bike on and there's no rear light, break lights, or indicators, but the headlight works fine ____________________ Previously owned: Kawasaki KH125, Suzuki GP125, Suzuki GX 125, Honda CB125 TDC '83, Honda ntv 600, Kawasaki ER5, Kawasaki ZZR600, Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille
