Weird Battlefield Bad Company 2 issue? (PC)

Just got BC2, playing single player campaign, seemed to be working fine, got to the part where you shoot some guys who turn up on quads (pretty much the beginning) nicked a quad and then proceeded to attempt to run them all over..

When i obviously died, the screen remained black, then went to 'no signal' and turnt off, i could hear that i had 'respawned' and could hear myself moving about, just couldn't see it.

Had a feeling perhaps its screwing up my graphics and switching to onboard?? I had to hit the reset button and the computer booted up as normal.

My rig is:

AMD Athlon II X4 620 (Quad Core)
2GB DDR2 Ram (This is being upgraded to 3-4GB tomorrow)
1GB ATI RADEON HD 5770
DVD-RW DRIVE

Running Windows 7

Bit confused as to why it would 'crash'? Any ideas?

Overheating possibly.

I would think its a driver issue though. Nvidia seem to have more of a problem with it, but when running a game sometimes the screen will go blank or crash to desktop with a message saying the display driver has stopped responding. I used to have this problem with L4D2 when I was running 2x280's in SLI. Apprently ATI has had the same issue on some systems.

Try updating your graphics drivers and be sure to use something like Driver Sweeper to get rid of the current drivers properly.

its ok, i updated to the later driver and its working fine now... think it was just a glitch tbh but got engrossed in it all afternoon..
