rs50 my06 exhaust

looking to semi-derestrict my sons 2007 rs50, all the forums say take out the usual cone in the exhaust and upjet so i took off the exhaust which is a 3 part one on an my06 and cant actually find any cone as such but between the header pipe and main body i found a long pipe which is trumpet like and wondered if thats whats restricting it, seein pic, do i just cut this out or am i barking up the wrong tree, also i know i have to cut off the pipe stub coming off the manifold and weld that shut then up jet to richen it abit, opefully then about 45-50 instead of silly and dangerous 30

Sounds right to me, I've derestricted two 50cc aprilias a 2003 RX50 and a 2006 RS50.
