Shiny new boots

Today I bought some Swift M2R Superbike Race Boots ... anyone else got some??

They say 100% waterproof and I was out in pretty big rain today and they didn't let any in (that couldn't be attributed to that running down my leg and in the top).

I have them. Had to glue a bit of the sole back on last week as it was falling off Had them two years and never had wet feet.

How much did you pay? I got mine for £25.

Cracking boots for the money.

I had the silver ones as my first boot. Certainly waterproof, I just found them too big in terms of overall profile - if you get me.

I've been using Sidi Black Rains for the last couple of years, and I don't think they've ever let me down yet...

Starting to look a bit shabby now though, so will probably be looking at replacing them before this years Autumn/Winter season sets in.

[edit] ....I have the older (non-goretex) version of Sidi Vertigo's which are really comfortable, but still a little "humid" in the warmest conditions, so I've also recently got a pair of Arlen Ness 1133's for summer riding.

FYI, the zip broke on my shiny new boots in the first week

However, went back to J&S today and they swapped them for a new set - no quibbles!!

So top customer service for J&S!!!!

I had some Blytz ones as my first boots, worked a treat for about a year and a half then fell apart. .

Replaced them with Sidi Vertigos, ace boots. .

TCX GTX boots i bought this time last year are 100% waterproof as tested many times!

Also very comfy for people with big feet. Mine are size 14 and i can wear them all day. In comparison to the Sidi Vertigo's that i struggled to get to even fit me.

A note on broken zips, some decent shoe shops fit new zips for £10-£15 each. Neighbours have had to do it before when they broke a top pair of boots. One of them had a £300 pair of Sidis? Man that seems like a lot for a pair of shoes! Mind you i saw some cycle shoes at £600 once... Always wondered if the mega expensive shoes were any different to the £100 ones
