Hi all, I am after a new rad cap for the R1 but cant really find anything that is new for my specific bike. I think I have read somewhere that they are a pretty universal part and have found this...

Would this be fine to use on the bike/ will it fit? Just thought I would double check before I pay for anything.

Part number 5SL-12462-00-00.

Should be in the region of £10 from Yamaha.

EDIT: And to answer your question, they are often rated in terms of pressure i.e 1.1 BAR, so it's best to get the specific one. I've come across it in cars before (PT Cruiser), where there are two different pressure coolant systems and the wrong rad cap can cause problems.
