what is the coolant that should be used on a 50cc 2t scooter?? will ordinary red coolant be ok?

I know its dangerous to but....

I would assume that dna50 knows he needs coolant.
Therefore using my cunning skills of elimination and deduction i would have to say his scoot is liquid cooled Very Happy

And dna50, i think any coolant will do bud.

Any proper engine coolant at the right concentration (usually 50/50 if not premixed) should be fine. IIRC you shouldn't mix the colours is all. Not that i imagine it'll explode in flames if you do.

I also faintly remember something about dedicated motorcycle coolants having something in them to help protect the aluminium in the engines from corrosion, or some such. No idea if its true, false, propaganda or rumour, though.

I put water out of my hose and a a splash of antifreeze that has been in my garage 20 years.

I think that's all coolants, not motorcycle specific ones.

I use Wilkinson's finest coolant.
