Hi... I have lost quite a few billion brain cells since last working on bikes & Ive been trying to find the sauce of a bad knocking when engine cold & after taking clutch cover off find that theres quite a bit of play between the friction plate tangs & outer clutch drum but I dont know what play if any is acceptable, I can rock them a little maybe a centimetre or so , should there be any or should they be a snug fit ? also there is a bit of play between the primary drive gear & outer drum splines again should there be any ? Confused ..When the engin is hot it is a lot quieter & more so when clutch lever pulled in but its not clutch rattle many bikes have as a normal trait that wouldnt bother me .. At cold startup it knocks & shakes & has only done 3k......... any help would be great thanks... rusty Exclamation
