Hi - I hope someone can help with an annoying problem my Divvy 900 has. When it's been raining very hard and I apply the front brake it seems to shudder and the brakes don't work well. Infact it's quite scary and I'm afraid when I get caught in heavy rain as I don't feel confident the bike will stop.
Unfortunately when I took the bike to my dealer he said the front pads were fine and couldn't re-produce the issue (since it was dry weather).
The brakes work fine in the dry.
Do you think changing the pads will help or is there something else wrong.
Thanks

The shuddering will be the pads trying to grip against the disc, but due to them been wet the disc is slipping through the pads, it should only happen for a short time you can counter this by gently applying the brakes often to keep the pads and disc dry(ish).

cheers for the response.

We put new pads in this morning and it definately feels sharper in the dry weather. Lets see how it is in wet weather.
The old pads were quite scored, but the bike's not done that many miles (about 16 thousand). It was a good exercise as we'd never done this job before.
