Been looking into getting a camera to record trackdays, i take it the 'go pro' is the weapon of choice for most but cant really afford that.
Had a look on ebay and found 100's of cheap ones from china.
Anyone know of a decent cheaper alternative to a 'go pro'?

Cheers

The £8 keychain cameras are quite good for the cash imo, they can be a little iffy, sometimes the recordings will stop for no reason plus the battery life isnt great so you'll only get 2 sessions max, but buying 2 or so isnt a major problem, they also dont take long to change.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vI_rLtQqEO0 <-- B1h at Pembrey, velcro'd on the top side of the air intake

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qWVQDTOpXY <-- SP1 at Anglesey, velcro'd underneath on the undertray

IMO the sound is very good on both. As for other cameras, any from China will be hit and miss and fitment can be difficult. GoPro is the daddy imo

I used the MD80 and stuck it onto my fork leg with cardboard, velcro and duct tape - worked a treat!

Cheapo cameras are the best for track days though tbh, just with the risk of crashing and wrecking it, i'd much rather a cheap £10 camera fall off/break than a £100+ GoPro.
