Okay it's more for the big trailie boys and girls...but is anyone heading over to do the Stella Alpina this year ?

A weekend on the highest officially designated "road" in the Alps, is graded dirt and rocks for the last 35kms and rises to 3019m .

It's not a huge challenge but great fun and is on the French/Italian border so a ferry a couple of days ride away.

Aiming to get there Saturday morning, or maybe Friday as the Tour De France will be in the area.

Look out for a tatty Black P reg R1100GS with a twin headlight and KTM LC640 fairing(aka the Touratech Desierto I ) . Ridden by an old fart with a helmet cam.... other half can't make it this year so she bought me a DVR and helmet cam for my 50th so she can see what I saw.
