Why don't you just leave the light switch & petrol turned to 'on'? I presume you have a tight space so have to adjust mirrors, but I've never really thought about it, just put them as they should be before pulling off.

Have you got one for remembering to take the padlock off your front brake disc before you pull away. I've done that about 9 times now.

I always check my tyres and lights before setting off.... adjust my mirrors riding down the road.
(I always forget my mirrors and always knock them getting my bike out of the barn Embarassed)

I'm more intrigued by him pulling the throttle rather than twisting it.

Well if it does not matter ... i shall leave petrol and lights on .... i've only broke down about 6 times with no fuel ... Laughing

Would still like to at present turn fuel of for over night or more parking ..

I'm open to all suggestions !! Karma Smile

I've left bikes for months with the fuel on and it's never been a problem. I only ever turn the fuel off (and then drain carbs) if I know the bike ain't going anywhere for a few months or more.

And the same applies to the lights then .. ?? Question

I think fuel off can sometimes help stop chavs chacing a quick steal, by cutting out on them down the road .. Idea

Yeah, the lights cut out with the ignition so just leave the switch 'ON' (unless you've got a dodgy battery, I used to have to switch 'em off to start my ZXR750 Laughing ). Never been worried enough about my bikes being stolen to turn the fuel off TBH.

Out of interest, how much difference did it make being TPO instead of TPFT? Every quote I've ever had has been either more expensive for TPO or like £5 cheaper than TPFT.
