Hi,
The time has come to sell my beloved Gs, thought i best sell it soon otherwise i'll end up making a platform in my room to put it on
so about the bike;
Blue in colour
1982, one of the first ones. Kickstart only, drum front and back. Recent new rear shoes and i have a new set of ones for the front, i may fit them before i sell.
Think its done nearly 22,000 miles but will double check this if anyones interested.
12 months MOT, with one advisory "Exhaust slightly deteriorated" i think he's put some paste of some sort on it, but its otherwise ok.
It has had some niggles with it but its never failed to start on me, even if it does take a few kicks when cold.
New chain and sprockets 2-3k miles ago, still got lots of adjustment left.
New throttle and clutch cables.
Ok, but not brilliant bits;
One or two oil leaks but its not p***ing out, just drips for a couple of mins then stops.
few specs of rust and a couple of scratches on the tank but its not too bad really, comes up quite nice when polished.
Tear accross the front of the seat, could be covered with some gaffa tape or similar.
there is a tappet type noise when riding but performance isn't effected by this, it'll do 70 on a good day and downhill, 60 on the flat with no wind and 50 if you've got an annoying head wind
Thats all i can think of for now, also included in the sale will be the haynes manual and a cover to keep the rain off.
I'll be wanting between £350 - £400 for it, may take offers depending how low they are
Pm me for more details/pics
