Well, it's that time again when the bike hunt begins, I'm really sorry I'm sure this has been covered hundreds of times but the only posts I can find regarding the bike I'm looking at are from years ago. I'm looking at a sport 400.....A ZXR 400 mainly. This is because sport 600s are too fast/heavy. Bandits are boring and the faired ones are ugly and SVs are ugly as sin! The thing is though, is it really worth it? I've only got about £1000-£1500 (max)

I'm not sure about it because, they're old, really old! surely they're unreliable and generally not that good? Or am I wrong?
I really want one, but on the other hand im worried that it could be a disaster because there so old, parts are probably rare??

What do you reckon?

I need advice on reliability, and if possible comfort levels (I'm 5'10" average build)

Just so you know, I'm not going to be using it everyday but fairly regularly, sometimes everyday of the week but rarely; and occasionally could do with doing longer trips (a couple of hours of motorway riding at a time)

Would consider another 400 sport or a bandit.

Apologies for the boring questions and thanks in advance,

Konrad

Thanks,

I saw that before but was kind of hoping for a less negative review of the 400s but nope. Its looking like a bit of a pipe dream, oh well guess it's back to looking for a nice heavy bandit....
