A few helmet manufactures have them and they should be ok for someone who wears glasses. As the inner sun visor slide down in front of the main clear visor.

I have a Caberg V2 and as a glasses wearer I swear by it. It's doesn't get in the way at all and provides good coverage. If you're looking for a complete blackout look, it doesn't do that - there's a gap at the sides on the bottom, but that's a cosmetic/vanity problem rather than functional one. Bit noisy though if you don't like wearing earplugs.

Got one on my Schuberth C2 and it works great.

Has no effect on glasses. It simply slides up and down behind the visor.

I have a Caberg Justissimo and it has one. I cannot see any non darkened parts in front of me but it is not as strong as a normal pair of sunglasses but I couldn't live without it now. Just so useful.

I still have the original smoked sun visor in my V2R Zonda. Anyone using the other types?

Only thing crud with the sun visor is it doesn't have the anti-fog/anti-scratch coating. In summer it's no problem, but in winter i have to use Bob Heath ant- fog spray.

I've got the AGV Stealh-SV which also has one built in, only had the helmet a few days but it works a treat. So useful for if you're going to be out till after dark, works well and looks pretty good compared to some of the other companys internal visors. Although as said they are a bit louder than other helmets.

My Duchinni lid (model D419) that has a sun visor too. And although I don't wear glasses, I'm confident there'd be enough room...

I have a Schuberth C3 Sun shade visor slides down behind the main visor.
Great bit of kit. Though their claim that it is the quietest helmet is a load of shite. Not much noticable difference to my Shoei or Arai.

Warning: Do not touch the sun visor.... It is a bastart to clean. Embarassed

And ensure that the sun visor comes down behind the main visor or you will have a hell of a time keeping it in good nick. My Nolan had one in front and it was an arse of a thing. What happens then is you have to replace two parts when they scratch.

Also find out how much to replace the visors. My schuberth will cost £60 to replace and I only ever get seven or eight months out of one.
It would have swayed my decision when buying the helmet.

I've got an Airoh (not sure of the modle) the one with the removable jaw guard

& that's fine with glasses

the dark visor doesn't come all the way down so I can still see my clocks & mirrors through the clear part

I've got the HJC IS-16 Scratch and the visor is great! Use it all the time and it works very well. Mine has a 3 stage position system which is useful too.

All the best.

I've been using a flip-front caberg trip for about 3 or 4 years now and found the internal sunvisor really really useful. Carrying a spare tinted visor is obviously not necessary and being a glasses wearer its a pain to have to change to sunglasses so I really did find the sunvisor priceless.

Just upgraded to an AGV Stealth SV as the caberg was getting a bit old and have to say the AGV is a very nice lid (good time to get one as AGV are running a scrappage scheme until early july - get 25% off any AGV lid when you trade in an old used lid!!).

The AGVs sunvisor mechanism is not quite as good as my old cabergs but it still works well and the actual sunvisor itself is bigger and further from my face than the cabergs (which touched my nose a little). Absolutely no problem using the sunvisor whilst wearing glasses...but depending on your style of glasses you might have problems with the padding in the AGV. I have had to bind up the very top 5mm of the back of the cheek pads to allow my glasses to sit properly in the helmet. Small issue easily resolved though and I have had to do this in the past with previous helmets so its not uncommon.

Hope that helps Wink

I've got a Schuberth R1 and have zero problem with the visor and my glasses. The mechanism is also nice and easy to use when you're on the move.

From the sound of it, you should be fine, but obviously try the lid out first!

I've got a Caberg Trip (I think its a trip) flip front helmet with internal flip down sunglasses.

Its very good as a replacement for sunglasses, lets you open the visor up for fresh air, and the tint isn't so dark you can't see when the sun hides behind a tall building.

I saw Caberg replacement sunvisors in smoked, mirror, and iridium rainbow style.

But - when they're deployed its not far off the end of my nose, and its a noisy, noisy helmet.

I have one, and on occasion it's not been dark enough. Mostly winter days with the sun out and puddles on the road. Always intend to carry a pair of sunglasses with me just in case now. On the whole it's mostly effective, though not always.

It's the best thing since sliced bread for this bloody country.

In the past because I have a long commute, I've passed through several different types of weather. Start in clear blue skies with blinding low morning sun and 30 miles later I'm riding in fog, on the motorway with poxy sunglasses on, looking a right 'nana.

But now, with my Caberg wossname helmet and internal sunvisor, I care not a jot when the sky clouds over or the sun shoots out to surprise me. I'm whipping it up and down like a whore's drawers on a friday night.

I have a Caberg Konda (the Trip's 2010 replacement) and i swear by the internal sun visor... just flip the lever and instant eye shade! im quite tempted to fork out for an iridium visor as opposed to the smoked one that comes as standard... but ill wait a while and build up my money reserves first...

Can 2nd The999Kids comments re the Caberg Konda. Replaced my previous Trip, and still happy with Caberg. (Visor has a lip in centre now to lift which is better I think than just the left, but I digress.)

Plenty of space for glasses, and easy to slip specs on and off with face open, or just visor up.

Agree with Walloper, don't touch the shaded internal visor, cleaning is a right pain.
