Members of a community with a high rate of burglary and general crime are being asked whether or not the police should be allowed to commission recently installed surveillance cameras. The usual suspects are up in arms about the cameras, claiming that their civil liberties are being breached etc etc.

What do you think?

The cameras are being funded out of an anti-terror budget and the area is predominantly Muslim, they failed to mention that during the consultation so all the cameras are getting their own wee Burkhas fitted

I don't know about CCTV, I think its far more limited than they would have us believe. If its there, I don't think it should ever be monitored 24 hours, it should only really be used to investigate. I don't believe they actually stop crime from happening.

Thumbs Up
