Help for Mod 1

I passed my CBT a month ago and have done around 650 miles on my Yamaha SR 125, in the future I will be looking at doing my Mod1, would my Yamaha sr 125 be suitable for doing my full test on or would I look at buying another bike and then doing my full bike test, thanks.

Do your test on a 125 and you'll be restricted to 33bhp for 2 years.

But doing it on the YBR would be awesome, because it's really easy to ride and has a great turning circle.

I love my YZF R125, but it's got a turning circle like a battleship!

don't worry about the test being hard either,its actually piss easy,just make sure you've got disc brakes as i failed cus my drums just wouldn't stop in time

Yeah i did my test earlier this year went from an SR125 to a 600 cbr, but i really would not do mod 1 on the Yamaha, itl take a while to get up to speed when you are going through the speed trap and breaking wont be as easy due to the back drum break.

Personally id use there bikes gives you a feel for a big bike and id find it easier but its your opinion end of the day mate

I may use one of theirs, when you say use their bikes do you have to say that you're using it before the day or can you just turn up and ask to use it?

I did my test on my Yamaha SR125, but that was before mod1 and 2 were brought in. My Yam had a disc brake on the front, drum on the back.
When people mentioned use another bike, you do know they meant from the riding instructors?, NOT the test centre (test centres have no vehicles to use, apart from the examiners)
