Hi people, yesterday my mam told me a section of Houghton Road had been shut due to a motorcycle accident and it was shut for a large part of the morning. Unfortuntately there are now flowers where the accident was.

The road was sufficiently blocked off so that very little could be seen so Apologies for the lack of details. If anyone has anything else they can add, please do.

Thanks t121anf. Shame to hear it like, I'm just glad it's not somebody I know. My mates dad lives just along the road and I think He has an Aprilia RSV, so I was hoping it wasn't him.

Which road is the A182?

EDIT: I know which one that is, Washington Highway then goes through Shiney Row, Newbottle and towards Houghton-Le-Spring
