Tell me about.. CBR 600F Sport...

With any luck my car will sell tommorow night and ive seen a CBR 600 F Sport (F-S1?) for sale locally.
What are they like? A slightly comfier rr or more like a normal CBR600F with a different seat unit?

Something between the two.

It's and F with firmer/adjustable suspension, slightly more powerful engine, altered gearing, no center stand and the split seat.

Really nice bike actually.

I had an 02, really nice bike, fast as fuck, from new the seat pad makes ya arse ach for a long while, hopefully yours will be broke in!

Not quite, later models came with quite basic, non-adjustable suspension.

Ah, the haynes manual has the same gear ratios for both bikes and I am led to believe that the engines are identical except for the clutch which has an extra plate and the exhaust linker pipe which doesnt route around the non existent centre stand

Other than that the changes are that the sport suspension is stiffer, it has no centre stand, the frame is black, engine cases gold and the rear subframe and seat are different, meaning the some of the electronics are positioned differently.

I did read somewhere other differences include double valve springs and a higher rev limit.

The are a few minor differences.

The seat obviously, double valve springs, slightly higher revs, slightly more HP as a result, different gearing, and different internal frame stiffening on the F Sport.

None of which 90% of people will actually notice on the road.

I like the CBR 600F. I have already gotten it couple of months ago. I have noticed that It had been denoted good clutch power and also mitigate high speed. When I have got tripped over it. It is run as smother and also far. I liked it dude.

2003 CBR600FS
Power: 110.00 HP (80.3 kW)) @ 12500 RPM
Torque: 63.00 Nm (6.4 kgf-m or 46.5 ft.lbs) @ 10500 RPM

The FS had the main stand removed for greater ground clearance, cosmetically it also it got a red/black paint job with a black frame and swing arm, a stepped seat and had smaller indicators and tail light.

On the mechanical side there was a different camshaft profile for higher lift valves and it had uprated valves springs, a lighter flywheel, an eight (one extra) plate clutch and a larger final drive for greater acceleration.

Suspension wise the FS was identical to the older FX-FY models, Honda simply removed some of the adjustments on later F models.

Post CBR600RR the F models used the engine from the FS.
