the thing with the novice only working with the test day is that all the racers that couldnt get a place on the test slots go in the trackday group. so you end up with some really fast guys in there.

It's always the way doing a trackday before a race meet, you get all the racers wanting some cheap practise.

I remember G getting bumped down to Inters at Cadwell, and I got mowed down left right and centre by club racers.

Good fun though!

I did an MSV novice day as my first trackday early last year at Snetterton.
But it was twinned with a car day.

Not sure you'd get racers in an MSV novice only session, they'd stand out a mile and would probably be pulled out.
Anybody thats a confident road rider or has done a couple of trackdays would probably get frustrated pretty quickly with people breaking halfway down the straights and stopping to go around the corners.
On the day I did I found it to be quite a bit slower then a normal novice grouped trackday.
Perfect for finding your feet though and the 30min sessions really take it out of you.

Pftt, man up. It's all about the open pitlane days and staying out for a full tank of fuel. Cool

Haha 20 minutes is fine for me, I did a 1hour karting race the other week and my neck and arms were killing me, it took me two days to get over it Laughing
With my 50mpg however hard you ride it bike I'd be riding all day!

couple of the BSB guys were down at mallory last week for some cheeky practice, but they actually waited til the lunch hour to raz around rather than stick in with the trackdayers.

was kind of a weird moment tho sitting on a deck chair in the paddock enjoying the sun, eating my spicy chicken slice and seeing the BSB boss come flying past on a scooter Shocked (coulda been laverty's team manager, my m8 only caught a glimpse of his face as he barrelled past)

Just got back from my first trackday and it was awesome.!!

However I did get the yellow flags waved after getting a wasp in my leathers at 130 mph down the straight.

The marshals laughed at me throwing my bike on the floor ripping my clothes off at the edge of the track.
