Hornet running problems.

Can't work it out, maybe you lot can help.

Just swapped engines in the hornet. Got it 90% together.

It starts, it idles on choke, but not off choke.
It also runs very very hot. The link pipe gets very hot indeed, even after <1 minute of running.
When i twist the throttle, it bogs down and stalls.

Any ideas anyone, the throttle cable need adjusting but i presume that wouldn't make it run that hot. Not synchronized the carbs, not got a gauge, but it ran perfectly before i took it out of the old bike and not fiddled with the carbs.
