Hi folks,

Some of you may remember me... used to frequent this place about 5-6 years ago. I lost my license in a moment of stupidity in December 2005, and havent ridden since.

Anyway, after waiting so long, i finally applied for my license back, and am waiting to hear from the DVLA on that front...

In the meanwhile, naturally with this great run of awesome weather we've been having, my mind has turned to one very important issue.

Which bike do I get next?

Thought i'd log back into here (how DID i remember my password!?) and see if i could pick up some pointers as to whats hot and whats not these days.

Anyways, big shout out to everyone on here who remembers me, and Hello to all those who don't.

Joe.

Welcome back - Good luck with DVLA.

Assuming you get your full license, go for the CBR 1000RR Thumbs Up

depends on your size, what kind of riding do you do, do you prefer sports or tourers etc etc

i have a fsz600 fazer and i cant praise it enough, neither can the people who say to me ''i had one of those, great bike''

get one, love the R1 brakes, love the grunty revvy engine, love the reliability and love the agility of the thing.

Funny you should mention that. That is what i tentatively had in mind.

I looked at one when I first got into riding, and dismissed it as at the time didnt like the upright riding position. However, I'm older now...

My list of bikes in my years of riding thus far are:

SV650S k2
ZXR400 L1
CBR400 NC29
CBR600F
ZXR1100 (T plate)

I would like a sports bike, but they got me into trouble (ok ok, i got myself into trouble).... so i'm thinking of something more, shall we say, sensible.

FSZ fits the bill quite nicely.
