Dude,

About 3months ago my xbox had the rrod, it got sent off to my mate and shoved through an IR Reflow Station. Something that re-solders stuff i think.

Turned it on today to play CODMW2 and it freezes.
Rebooted and now it shows the following
Top Left, Bottom Left, Bottom Right flashing red.

Whats that all about?

Was it deffo re-balled?

or did he fob you off? I hazard a guess it was re-flowed using a heatgun.

IF he did do the 1st option, then another major contributing factor in the RROD is how he's bolted the heatsinks to the CPU/GPU, could be the wrong sized washers, cheap thermal paste, over torqued bolts etc.

Is it away from all heat sources? ie. not on a tv, dvd player, sky box.

How can i check if it was defo reballed?

I hope he aint fobbed me off, ive known him for a good number of years. I sent the box to him, he sorted it for me, and sent it back. all i had to pay was postage.

The xbox sits on a shelf, raised of the base and has a patio door next to it that it always open.

you can't really check unless you strip it all down and seen if he's removed the cpu/gpu from the board by removing the resin on the corners.

Maybe gave it some heatgun treatment, but nobody just reballs a board for a mate for cheap/nowt!

Plus half these guys that 'reball' wouldnt even know what a reflow station looked like.
