Had plans to do full engine rebuild thread and then the bike rebuild as well ... instead I tried to get her ready in time for going on a trip (BCF Scotland Tour) and so spent 27 hours straight working on her ... all to no avail as small things kept on holding me up.

Anyhoo, this was how she looked ...

and this is how she looks now ... still not finished, but getting there ... should be starting her up tomorrow Twisted Evil

^^^ #3 bearing was gubbed but I figured this happened when the oil line let go ... I was correct in my reasoning that the conrod/crank hadn't been damaged ... so a new set of bigend shells and she was sorted.

Got her started today after about 5 seconds of turning the engine over ... not bad after a full rebuild Very Happy

Headlight is off a GSXRthou ... still lots to do to get her on the road, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now Thumbs Up

All the best ... Barry

That really is an amazing job you've done there, you should be proud (I'm sure you are)!

What are you doing about indies? Is that wood holding your headlight on? Laughing What clocks have you got?

I'm liking the straight bars and how shiny everything is!

An undertray, I think, would really finish it off.

Well done! Very Happy

^^^ Will make my own indys at some point ... yes wood and cable ties holding headlight on just now (just to get position right) ... clocks will be OE clocks put into a new housing (still to design and make).

Got two undertrays (one cost £130) but fit is shoite so have trimmed OE down and will fit an ally triangular bracket at rear to hide what's left of the OE mudguard sticking down, and it will also hold the reg plate.

Will be replacing the rear light with my own fibreglassed creation ...
