Is it possible to fit a kickstart to a DT125X

Hi


I have the DT125X and want to fit a kickstart however im not sure how to do it or what i will need

I have spoken to some shops and they said it will cost around £200 to do and will need new bits and others told me i just need a kickstart and that’s it so i don’t know what i need or who is correct can anyone confirm if its just a kickstart i need or other bits aswell

The bike already has the hole there for the kickstart to go in

haha £200 for what?? Tell them to fuck right off.

Ask your local breakers and they'll most likely be much more helpful.

lmao can be done for 20 quid, Just need, kickstart, kickstart gears and a oil seal.

Somebody on there has done it to a dtre (same bike)
And as delve said you only need the kickstart lever, oil seal and the gear.

or if you have passed your test try to find a DT200R engine which is difficult to do but they are way more powerful but the dt chassis can cope fine with the extra power.

I was under the impression that the dt200 engine wouldn't fit with out modification because the dt200 had a different frame? Not saying it's not possible but i think it would take modifications to the frame/engine mounts.
