2003 Bandit600N

I recently fitted a Bridgestone BT021 to the rear. I'm happy with it, but I'm not sure it's going to last as long as I hoped it would...

My problem is now that the front tyre is also approaching a borderline legal condition, so is it worth getting a matching front '021, or are there any other (cheaper) suggestions with similar performance??

You can mix it another model of Bridgestone tyre as long as its the same speed rating.

Never had a problem with mismatching tires.

Sure someone will come along with a scientific explanation of why its a bad idea

I have a BT 014 on the front of my bandit 600 n, and find it works well with the BT 020 on the rear Thumbs Up

Great, cheers for the suggestions.
I may well go with the 014 front, and see how it feels Thumbs Up

you can mis match tyres as long its not of different construction.

ie you can't mix radial tyres with cross ply tyres.

Speed rating doesn't matter here - its the construction of the tyre
