As much as I hate granting them another thread, this one is not designed to give them publicity, more the opposite.

I want to know who supports them here, or whether its just a small bunch of spamming fuckwits from their crappy site.

If the poll turns out that hardly anyone supports them, can't we use the good old karma rating to rate their posts as spam etc? Wink

Personally I can't stand them, they dont inconvenience me personally but still i have been a passenger in a car trying to do what should be a hour journey made into 2/3 hours by these ignorant twats. Middle Finger

You missed "meh" as an option.

+1.

Can't say I support it (bikers get enough grief about thinking they're elite as it is - "I shouldn't have to pay, I'm a biker you know!"), but I wouldn't go as far as "Never!".

Regardless of who supports them, they're fuckwits because it's not a tax. Razz

While there are myriad taxation schemes in this country. I would agree that paying money in exchange for a service (a bike parking space) is not a tax.

Nope. I work in Westminster, there's a free bay (on the embankment) and a free car park (Trafalgar square) within 2 minutes walk of my office.

The bike parking tax protests are going to end up shooting all London bikers in the foot. When the protest was going on today, the pavements were clogged from everyone waiting at the bus stops. People were looking pissed off. Not doing us any PR favours.

Then you have the other little considerations, like bus lanes. If Boris gets pissed off enough, he'll doubtless find a way to stop us from using the London bus lanes, or to remove the existing bits of free parking in Westminster.

I don't like the bike parking tax, but I can't think of a decent way to protest against it that may actually work. This hasn't, so far.

We have to pay at some locations in the rest of the country, so why should they be diffrent.

Personally I think that this will end in tears, and bikes getting hit with the congestion charge......

Then agin do I care Laughing Thumbs Down as I don't live in London Karma

As to the round the M25 protest.... Wonder who's idea that was... Piss off drivers who most likely never go into London anyway....

Guess that idea was from some idiot (most likely a westminster plant) who's aim is to piss off as many people as possible....

Thank god the real bikers realised just how stupid and futile it would be. Rolling Eyes
