Hi all, after fitting aftermarket "baffled" pipes silencers onmy VL125, it's still VERY loud and will not go through an MOT. Therefore I'm thinking I need some extra baffles.

Now for the baffling bit!

What length do I need? I've seen everything from 3" to 12" baffles in mild steel, stainless and chrome and I'm at a loss as to which I need.

The silencers themselves are 15" long so do I need something near to this or will short ones be ok?

Also will the baffles that are already in there get in the way of new ones?

Lastly will I need to use baffle packing? If so how as one end of the baffle will be free inside the silencer?

I'm baffled.

Any help much appreciated.

If it's just mot then fit a metal disc in the end with a 12mm hole in it. Sure the bike won't run worth a damn but it'll pass MOT just fine.
