Naysayers, get to fuck, it's incredible. Go and book a test ride.

You've been ripped off... that ent a harley... its a piglet!
Take it back and tell them you want one with the propper motor in it! Laughing
I have to admit I WAS tempted by a piglet a few years ago... they were cheap as chips at the time... had the notion to build an XR45 replica out of one.... then the factory went and did it!
Otherwise, I was rather put off the marque by a chap that bought a 1200 FLXCRDRXVRXMXXXXX I dont bludy know! umpety years back!
He was stood next to it dragging his gloves on, lettin it warm up, telling us how great it was, not letting any one get a word in edgeways.... while I was trying to ask if the front wheel SHOULD actually be bouncing off the tarmac!
Eventually bounced itself off the side stand, and it was only when we dived to try and save it falling, for him, the bloke shut up!
Looks.... well, its a Harley! It looks Harlyish.... BLACK harlyish... not sure if that is better than Chrome Harlyish or more fasion conciouse Harlyish... but at least it doesn't have tassles!

When I tried to book a test ride they wouldn't let me. 'Harley davidson don't do test rides'. I will never buy a harley, the showroom guys are douche bags. If I was going to get a cruiser I would get a Motor Guzzi.

Congratulations on your purchase anyhow Smile

Fair play, looks quite nice Thumbs Up

[homo mode=off]

When are you coming out to the family? Laughing

I've never been a fan of the riding position, I guess im a hugger rather than a laid back comfy rider.
Any good? Pros and cons?

it has potential, ive often considered getting one to do as teflon mike
suggested and turn it into a flat tracker, your one isn't to far away,
the tank is right, it just needs a new seat and that sissy bar needs to be binned, and the mud guard altered and she'd be pretty good looking,

as for the motor, they have been turning gas into noise for quite a while now. not much you can do about that Very Happy

i wnder why they never went the bevel drive route on the motors,

I actually quite like a the Sportster:

https://image.motorcyclistonline.com/f/8985697/122_0610_01_z+2007_harley_davidson_sportster_xr_1200+static.jpg

More of a road bike position than a cruiser. Proper Harley owners would probably avoid it like the plague though.

Yeah, I had to double-take at one of those in the Triumph dealership in Stratford a few weeks ago. It actually looked nice, in matt black, sat in the showroom.

Hey Robby, if you live anywhere near where you took those pictures, you're on my manor, so I'll keep a look out for you....................and kick you over at the next set of lights Mr. Green

Seriously, if I ever have a Harley, it would probably look something like that, but the whole 'lifestyle' thing puts me off; all those shorty helmets and big beards don't do anything for me and I always get the feeling that a big part of the Harley experience is being a member of 'the club'.

So you're just along from the cheap hotel, backing onto High Level Drive/Talisman Square? You can probably see into my living room in the winter, my flat has a view up the banking to the hotel and the flat or houses next to it. Keep your ears open, you'll hear the Harley when I start it.
