Riding in the rain

Am I the only one who is scared of riding in the rain I drive very careful in the rain but still feel so uncomfortable and don't feel safe, on my ten mile trip back today I had to dodge many 'rainbows' on the road from spiled diesel and when going round a roundabout my back end slipt out and my heart was in my mouth and somehow I managed to stay on, any tips for how I can solve being so worried when riding in the rain? Because it's getting to the point where I won't ride in the rain at all anymore, thanks
