carbon lids

ive just been having a flick through the fast bikes mag and seen an ad for the caberg carbon series.
what do you guys think of these?
they dont seem that much lighter than my nolan lid at only 200g lighter.they seem cheap at only £235
is there any others out there that are a good name/quality and around the £300 mark?

Mates got the Carbon Bell, think its the M5X, or the M4R. It is astonishingly light, i'd wager lighter than an iPhone (first thing i picked up just then) But then, the standard series isnt much heavier.

Its a 2 sided thing, it IS lighter, but not by a massive amount, and it does look the dogs bollocks.

150g is not the correct weight, the visor probably weighs more then that

The Suomy Spec 1R Extreme is 1250g and is regarded as the lightest helmet you can buy!

The FS-15 actually weighs around 1500g and is lighter then the FS-10!

the hjc is tempting........ its the same weight as my nolan but looks lush and at only £150 its a bargain its got some good reviews too.
the bell is £400 so more than i want to pay really...
something tells me no about caberg as i think of old blokes on their touring bikes and flip lids lol

Why do you want carbon?

Theres plenty of helmets which are lighter then most of the carbon fibre lids!

I've got a HJC HQ-1 Carbon lid, not sure exactly how heavy it is, but it's by far the lightest lid i've ever had, and is very comfy.
