MOT - Indicator speed?

Bike's in for its MOT tomorrow, and the only thing that concerns me is the indicator speed on one side.

They work, but flash about twice the speed of the other side. I've looked and the only info I've found says they have to be 'a steady speed' which is a bit vague. Could they fail it if one side is faster than the other?

Check that the lamps fited are of the correct wattage as a lower wattage lamp will make the indicators flash faster.

Legally must flash once per second. Smile . Or it is for cars.

I will do, but the mot is tomorrow morning 8:30, and I can't get an alternative before then, so it'd help to know.

Op, the lamps used are generally 18 watt items and one lamp would be enough to cause the problem.

The once per second is a minimum. I don't think there is a maximum unless it looks like it's on but flickers. I'll have a look in the MOT book in the morning. Smile

Update: Well, it failed, but not on the indicators. He was happy that they all worked, and not concerned that one side was faster. It failed on wheel bearings (front) and front and rear pads, with an advisory for the rear tyre.

So....yet more expense... Rolling Eyes
