Hello

My name is Will

In a month or so I will be taking over a small bike transporting business so I'm looking to get more business.

We transport all bikes all over England, Wales and Scotland for great prices.

As I'm advertising here I will be offering a 10% Discount to all members

I wont have a mobile number until I take it over but a the moment I can pass the work over to the current owner so please PM

Bike are covered if damaged but they will be in safe hands!

Thanks

Heres a scenario for you. Could I give you an uninsured bike, you crash it and claim on your insurance for me. I'll cut you in. Thumbs Up Wink

Not spam. As stated in his post, he cleared it with the mods. And he's advertising a service that people on here ask about all the time - not selling penis enlargements (unless you get him to deliver you a gsxr).

To be honust it's not a bad idea, it's not like he is advertising tyres like the last one. Or advertising his ebay shop selling tat etc etc. I just can't see the need for a bike transporter. But each to there own.

As you say bikes will be insured, is this with a 'goods in transit' or 'motor trade' policy?

Hmmmm do you ride them back or do you throw them in the back of a van. It sounds like somebody just wants to ride bikes and get paid for it lol.

If he's legit, offering an honest service that people need what's the problem?

You never seen a bike on ebay on the other side of the country, no tax, MOT or otherwise unrideable?

That's the kicker, he is a 1 post newbie he has no history of being a trusted BCFer.

Right Im happy for people to have there opinion is this some may not like the idea others do thats fine but to answer some questions

No I dont ride the bikes they are transported via a VW LT LWB van

Insurance that we have:

Good In Transit (GIT) cover up to: £20,000

CMR (Carriage of Goods by Road) cover up to: £20,000

and yes it is all legit and most business are ebay sells

Also a quick run through of the start of our week.

>dropped a crossed to stoke

>picked up a fireblade from Scotland and delivered to his son in Essex

>mobility scooter from Wales to Basingstoke

Thanks any more questions then just fire away

+ i wish you luck.
im in a pretty new business myself + know how hard it is, + any kind of free advertising is.
on a more personal note, i may need some bikes picking up/collecting + if the prices are right, it may become a regular thing.
i help run a bike breakers + its not always going to be practical to go pick the bikes up ourself,

I do like the idea, and if I was selling a bike and somebody asked If I knew how to transport it, I would use you. Because your the only one I know.

So your covered for £20 grand. What if you were moving a Desmosedici and you fucked it. How much would be paid out.

If it came to a bike with that sort of price tag I would see if I could sort insurance if I couldn't then I wouldn't take the job on.

Also a reply to a comment before about guaranteeing the bikes wont get damaged, I couldn't guarantee the bike wouldn't get damaged but if I it came down to it and the bike did for some reason Iam insured for that sort of problem
