Custom exhaust.

How much would you pay for a hand made st/st exhaust?

Recently i've been talking to someone who will make a totally custom exhaust for my GT. It will be the only one ever made and will be my exact spec which is:

Stainless steel,
Twin can like the SP1,
Stubby cans,
Removable bafles,
Will work with my bike,

Been quoted £450.
Do you think this is reasonable?

I Had a dual setup made for my Hornet 600, cost me £345, only difference is mine arent stubby.

Tbh for a pair of new cans + pipework its not a bad price when you take into consideration the price of high end cans such as yoshi or akras assuming the bike will be run on a dyno to check that the cans are designed right for the bike.

Furry muff then, in which case I would not pay that sort of price as you could get the same service elsewhere cheaper as Digitalize found with their hornet.

Are you talking about a full system? If so, it's not too bad. You can't really compare it with a Hornet system as it's a twin and not a four, so the front end of the system will be completely different.

Wouldn't go with a pair of stubby can's on a twin though, they look wrong.

Yes it's a V-twin, and full system. From Block to tip.

I've been told I will have to deliver it to Louth then the measurements will be made, a mock will then be sent to Kent with my bike, and the finished product will be made there.

Dodgy dealings are looking afoot with my bike been moved so far south but the first place is 11miles away, so I can keep an eye on my bike and be there when it is sent. Or as the guy said (know him well) I can travel down with it and the other bikes but have to find my own way back up. Which sounds like a plan to me.

Back on topic.

Anyone else bought a custom system?
