gt125 v twin...... other day i pretty much ran it out of fuel so might just be a bit a crap at bottom but...

at about 6/8000rpm its started bogging out asif its outa fuel and starts stuttering in the lower gears (defo fuel in) where as i could previously get 11-12000rpm

could it be the carbs need cleaning or have i got a bigger problem.. at the minute its pi**ing me right off as i can't overtake at the same small speed i could.

ps. when i shake bike, there's a load of rattling coming from the tank(apart from the fuel)

pps. the tank is off the 650 version and we had to weld a fuel tap on as its slightly different to my first pre crashed tank....also, the fuel gauge is foooked, just bounces from full to empty.

my knowledge is limited as im picking new stuff up everyday being a young rider. all help is appreciated and any suggestions will stick with me for future reference , cheers

If you've dragged some shit out of the tank your best bet is to take all the fuel lines off and flush them out, then try running some Redex through the system as it helps burn up all the gunk inside the engine, haven't a clue about the rattling, lost a ring recently? Or a peice of the petrol cap?
